VO: The image of Chinese wine is mass produced, is fast without much care.

VO: I wanted to change that.

VO: Where we live is in the foothills of the Helan Mountains

VO: The soil here is dry, it’s rocky, it’s very challenging to plant any corn or rice, but our family we realised that we could plant the vine trees here.

VO: When I was 21, my father sent me to study Oenology in France.

VO: And I wanted to bring back what I loved in french taste.

VO: We are controlled by ourselves, we decide very quickly what time we harvest, what quality we want, what barrell we buy.

VO: My ambition was to start a winery to stand shoulder to shoulder with wine from Australia or California.

VO: It was a big challenge to take on, we were very determined.

VO: Winemaking for me is like this car

VO: So defined, so delicately designed, its well thought.

VO: It can be Geographical, but it can also be social

VO: It’s about seasons, about wind about rain, about everything.
